So, this month local elections were happening all throughout the UK, and there were major changes for some boroughs who voted in a different party this time around.

But one crucial group of the population is still lacking in numbers. And they are called GENERATION Z.
But exactly who are Generation Z?
They are currently the second youngest generation the world, being between 9-24 years, with the older people in this generation being of voting age, but for some reason they are not interested in voting. And we need to discuss why.
Although the number have slightly increased, the turnout for the 2019 general election for this age group (18-24),was just under 55%, when compared to 2017 elections, that number has only increased slightly (less than 10%). I decided it was a good idea to discuss with my team, all of whom fit into Gen Z, why they think their generation is lacking at the poles, and if they are interested in politics at all.
