Epilogue by Artist CJ Hendry
Located only a 2-minute walk from Mile End Station the exhibition is based in the New Testament Church of God, the Australian artist debuts in London and showcases her art for only 10 days. Although the showcase is short, she stuck to her usual large scale and hyper-realistic signature style, ‘Epilogue’ includes 30 new paintings and 10 tonnes of petals falling from the ceiling.

The paintings have been described by Hendry herself as ‘sad and eerie’ which contrasts with the white petals beautifully. You can feel the serenity the moment you walk into this exhibit because of the paintings and the beautiful scenery and because of other visitors who are seen smiling and enjoying this exhibit the way it should be. And the best part is it’s free to access for all which makes it even better.

180 The Strand
180 The strand is an immersive cultural centre; different exhibitions are held there all year round. The exhibit that I attended was ‘LUX’ it included 13 installations by 12 artists, all installations were unique in their way but also visually striking, the exhibit focuses on digital art about light and perception, every corner you turned there were new colours, shapes and was just overall aesthetically pleasing.

180 The strand is worth the visit especially if you’re interested in digital art, as you most definitely won't find something similar at any other exhibits across London. The exhibit is reasonably priced and affordable for students, Tickets to the exhibits range from £10- £25, but they also have discounts for 18-25 years old, jobseekers, students, and 65+ that range from £5-£15.
Address: 180 The Strand Temple, London WC2R 1EA, United Kingdom
